Reusable items should be disinfected after being used in a contaminated environment. Other items such as footwear should also be disinfected.

Care should be taken not to transfer virus particles from the outer surface of clothes or protective equipment into a safe area. Sanitize hands as a final step to further reduce the risk of infection.

User must achieve a tight fit for respiratory protection to be effective. Facial hair is likely to reduce the affectiveness of the respirator.
